Human Rights and the Global Goals

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Global Goals are two milestones in human history. This visual guide uncovers the interlinkages between these between these unique and universal agendas!

The Global Goals are grounded explicitly in human rights and will only be achieved if principles of participation, accountability and non-discrimination are respected. Human rights offer guidance for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Likewise, the 2030 Agenda and the Global Goals can contribute to the realisation of human rights.

To highlight the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, UNDP in Sweden have developed this visual guide that uncovers the human rights anchorage of the 17 Global Goals.
